One Webinar, Two Ways to Learn.

Military records access online, since 2020, has expanded at a rapid pace. Records we hoped, five years ago would "someday" be online like Army Morning Reports, are now becoming a reality. There is so much to learn about researching military service online that I thought I would try something new with this program. With your purchase of one webinar, you will receive access to both.

When the programs are uploaded they will be broken into lessons rather than one long streaming webinar. This will allow you to watch the entire program and then return to the sections you need to examine in greater depth.

Once both webinars are posted, you will be able to, for example, watch the segment on Fold3 research in both and learn different things. The same applies for the NARA Catalog. While I will do an examination of the vital Army Morning Reports in NARA's Catalog, I will vary the other record sets we examine in each program.

Why am I doing this? In each program, I will teach the same basic outline, but the case studies or live website walk-throughs will differ. The Q&A for each will also differ based on questions from participants. There is a lot you can learn.

What's Included In The Program?

In this program, I will provide an overview and live walk-through of many online resources available to help you in your search for information about your veterans. The best thing about this program is the tips and resources taught here may also apply to World War I, Korea, and Vietnam research.

There are numerous online resources dedicated to WWII research, including websites such as Ancestry.com, Fold3, and the National Archives. These platforms offer access to military records, photographs, letters, and other documents that can provide valuable insights into your ancestors' experiences during the war. Did you know there are many untapped resources beyond the ‘Big 3 Go-To Sites’?

In this 1.5 hour + 30 minute Q&A program you’ll explore:

  • A brief explanation of my two-part military research strategy to help you start your research.
  • The ‘Big 4’ – Ancestry, FamilySearch, Fold3, and NARA Catalog.
  • Research tips for searching online.
  • Live walk-through on additional websites which may provide individual or unit-level context, maps, photographs, and more.
  • Military Service Questionnaire and 15-page Program workbook.
  • Certificate of Completion.
  • Access to both webinar replays.

Are you ready to start or deepen your veteran research online?

NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Jennifer Holik

I'm Jennifer, I help people identify and release ancestral beliefs, behaviors, patterns, and traumas that hold them back from creating their most abundant, amazing life.

Guided by my military ancestors, more than 25 years ago, I stepped on the family & military history research trail. That journey allowed me to connect more deeply with my ancestors, spirit guides, angels, and others beyond the veil. I created a genealogy business which quickly transformed into a military research, speaking, and writing business. Explore military research articles, videos, records, resources, and my books at the WWII Research & Writing Center.
