Access Live Guidance for your Group's Research

World War II research is unlike any other era. Records are scattered across multiple platforms, service branches, and agencies. Many families know where their veteran served—but not how to move beyond basic enlistment details into meaningful understanding.

This 90-minute or 2-hour group coaching session is designed for genealogy societies, WWII research groups, and serious researchers who want clear guidance, trusted resources, and expert support—without wasting years clicking in the wrong places. Whether your group is just beginning or hitting research roadblocks, this session provides structure, direction, and confidence.

How This Works

A group is formed and a topic is chosen from the list below. Someone is designated Group Leader and contacts me to schedule a day and time for the coaching session. I can be reached at [email protected] to discuss dates. There are two coaching options/fees available.

First, choose the session: Army, Army Air Force, Navy/Merchant Marine/Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Prisoner of War Records, Researching WWII Online, or WWII Death Records.

Each session includes:
– How to use the 2-step research strategy to research any veteran, even if the records burned.

– What records you need to begin, the importance of a timeline, and where to go next to find context.

– Learn what specific records you need to move your research forward, where they are located, and the best way to access.

– How to use Fold3, Ancestry, FamilySearch, and the NARA Catalog effectively

Second, choose the option:

Option 1: A max of 10 people. 90-minute session. $30/person.

Option 2: A max of 15 people. 2-hour session with a 10- minute break half-way through. $35/person.

Schedule Your Session: Once a date and time have been agreed upon, I will create a specific registration form for your group. Each participant will register and pay separately.

After registering, each participant will receive an email with instructions to provide me with details about the veteran they're researching, what they've already found, and where they're stuck. This allows me to tailor the session to the real challenges in the room. Zoom links will be sent to registrants the day before and day of the group coaching session.

Participants Receive: A workbook or resources as designed for the specific session booked. A replay and additional resources will be available to download for 7 days after the event for the participants to rewatch and learn.

Who This Is For

This session is ideal for:

  • Genealogy societies and historical groups
    • WWII-focused research collectives
    • Local history organizations
    • Researchers working on books, articles, or family histories
    • Anyone supporting others with WWII research

(This session is educational and research-focused—not a lecture and not individual one-on-one research.)

Why Work With Me

I developed the 2-part strategy to research any veteran, even if the records burned. Others may teach it but I created it over thousands of hours of research. I’ve spent 15+ years researching, writing, and teaching military research and writing, with a deep focus on World War II service records, units, and lived experience.

I specialize in helping people move from fragments to understanding—and in teaching researchers how to reconstruct military service, even when you were told all hope is lost.

This session combines:
✔️ Military research expertise

✔️ Teaching experience

✔️ Writing and publishing experience

✔️ A clear, respectful approach to WWII service, civilian life, inherited trauma, and legacy.

Do you Require Writing & Publishing Help?

I've written, designed, and published more than 20 of my own books and countless (mostly private) client genealogy and military books for 15+ years. I can help your group create a plan to take the military research through publication.

Testimonial

Jennifer's courses and Zoom chats have removed so much mystery from the process of researching a military veteran. I appreciate the straightforward approach that avoids going down endless trails of research that does not yield any results. She has designed a method to work through the labyrinth of military records which makes it possible for any level of researcher to understand.

I am an experienced researcher and Jennifer opened research doors for me I was unaware of. If you're serious about your research invest the time with Jennifer, her knowledge is the kind only gained from decades of experience in this field.

More than 10 years ago, I developed a 2-part military research strategy that makes it possible to discover the story of any veteran from WWI through Vietnam — even if the records burned. This grew out of a journey I began nearly 30 years ago, guided by my military ancestors. What started as genealogy quickly expanded into a full military research, writing, and speaking business shared through the WWII Research & Writing Center and later, here at the Ancestral Souls Wisdom School.

My work is rooted in both fact and spirit. I’ve walked battlefields, stood at graves, and listened to the echoes of soldiers and families whose stories still long to be told. Living between Chicago and the Netherlands, I absorbed history, culture, and the weight of inherited war trauma. My own path through PTSD and ancestral healing deepened my ability to see repeating patterns, connect dots across generations, and help others uncover truths hidden beneath silence and loss.

At the Ancestral Souls Wisdom School and WWII Research & Writing Center, I bring together research and soul work, helping you not only recover your family’s military history but also transform the patterns and pain it left behind. This is where history, healing, and story meet.
